Following the remarkable success of previous editions, the Maculart International Meeting returns to Paris in 2027, bringing together leading international experts in macular diseases for three days dedicated to scientific excellence, innovation and the sharing of knowledge.

Since its creation, Maculart has developed a unique identity built around the international exchange of expertise and the constant evolution of our understanding of macular diseases. Today, rapid advances in imaging, artificial intelligence, therapeutic strategies and precision medicine are opening new perspectives and transforming the way we diagnose, monitor and treat our patients.

The Maculart International Meeting 2027 will explore these developments through a rich and diverse scientific program, combining established areas of macular disease with emerging concepts and innovative approaches.

The program will address major topics including age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy, diabetes, vascular disorders, myopia and macular surgery, while placing a strong emphasis on innovative treatments, artificial intelligence and the latest advances in retinal imaging. A dedicated “Out of the Box” session will also provide an opportunity to look beyond conventional approaches and explore new ideas, perspectives and concepts that may shape the future of our specialty.

Through clinical cases, free papers, posters, expert lectures and interactive sessions, the meeting will encourage discussion, challenge established concepts and promote the exchange of experience between international colleagues.

• AMD, Geographic Atrophy and Prevention: addressing current challenges and future perspectives in age-related macular degeneration, with a particular focus on geographic atrophy and prevention.

• Myopia and Surgery: examining the evolving challenges and innovative approaches associated with myopia and macular surgery.
• Out of the Box: opening the discussion to emerging ideas, unconventional perspectives and innovative concepts beyond established boundaries.

Beyond the scientific program, Maculart 2027 will once again celebrate the unique relationship between science and art through the Gabriel Coscas Award. This special image contest invites participants to reveal the beauty and complexity of the macula through exceptional images, celebrating their artistic quality and visual impact.
